DISCOVER presented at the Territorial Forum of Energy Communities

On Wednesday, December 4th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Territorial Forum of Energy Communities took place at the Galleria Europa in Modena, Italy. Organized by AESS as part of the ENCOM HUB project, the event brought together numerous public and private stakeholders, including cooperatives from the Emilia-Romagna region. The primary goal of the forum was to foster knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration for joint actions by sharing experiences in the development of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) at various stages.

The forum’s agenda featured presentations on the challenges and strategies implemented in pilot projects and ongoing initiatives. Discussions centered on the management of financial resources, the roles of key stakeholders in community governance, and effective methods of community engagement.

Danilo Di Pietro, representing the DISCOVER partner AGENA, shared insights gained from the DISCOVER project, particularly regarding the establishment of energy communities in the province of Teramo. He highlighted the project’s key strengths as well as the challenges encountered, providing valuable points of comparison for other organizations involved in similar initiatives.

The forum served as a significant opportunity for dialogue and collaboration, aiming to stimulate the development of energy communities, especially in the province of Teramo, by leveraging experiences and solutions adopted in other national contexts.
