RENOVERTY: Training Program for the Co-Creation of Energy Roadmaps
AISFOR, partner of the European project RENOVERTY, will launch an innovative training program in February 2024, dedicated to participatory co-creation. The primary goal is to support rural communities and local interest groups in the development of Rural Energy Efficiency Roadmaps (REER), a strategic tool to promote sustainability and combat energy poverty in rural areas.
The Value of the Training Program
This training has been designed to provide participants with technical and practical skills to foster the energy transition in rural contexts, with a particular focus on collaboration among citizens, local authorities, and stakeholders. Through a participatory and inclusive approach, the course will equip participants with the necessary tools to develop tailored energy strategies, while raising community awareness of the benefits of energy retrofitting and reinforcing collective responsibility.
Program Structure
The course is divided into two modules, totaling nine lessons, with a combined duration of approximately two hours:
- Module 1: Co-Creation
This module will introduce participants to the concept of co-creation, outlining its main stages, common challenges, and practical solutions to overcome them. Real-world examples will also be provided to demonstrate how to effectively implement the process. - Module 2: Rural Energy Efficiency Roadmaps (REER)
The second module will focus on the design, implementation, and sustainability of REER. Participants will learn how to structure these tools and integrate them into local energy retrofit strategies.
Program Impact
This initiative aims to facilitate the co-design of REER, accelerating the adoption of sustainable and replicable energy solutions. The LIFE RENOVERTY project aspires to establish a European reference model to tackle energy poverty in rural areas, promoting an equitable and inclusive energy transition.
The training represents a crucial step in encouraging active involvement from rural communities and their stakeholders in defining shared strategies for the energy future of their territories.
